Ecology 2017-2018
Ecology is the study of the interactions between organisms and their environment. This two- period course is designed for students who like to adventure outside and study the complex interactions between organisms and their environment. Be prepared to participate in outdoor field trips to the Oregon coast, Crater Lake, the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and various other locations in southern Oregon. Students will study the diverse ecosystems of Oregon and explore some of today’s major ecological challenges. Concepts covered include global climate change, fire and forest ecology, marine biology, biodiversity and sustainability.
